A single contact point for all your equipment
ATF Gaia is your single contact point for the 100% recovery and recycling of your electronic
and IT waste products (computers, telecoms equipment, point of sale terminals, automatic ticketing machines, etc.).
The On-site audit determines the strategy to be adopted for each category of equipment:
- saleable equipment is tested and offered for resale in the form of complete units or reconditioned and serial-numbered spare parts
- non-saleable equipment follows an approved waste treatment path, in compliance with the technical requirements of the Environment Code, Volume 1, Book 5).
Help with migration , by qualified and experienced personnel, appointed by ATF Gaïa, simplifies and adds certainty to the equipment replacement process. From the transfer of user data to final verification, the experience of ATF Gaia enables companies to optimise their logistics flows (by avoiding unnecessary to-ing and fro-ing) and the potential for re-use.
The Europe-wide logistics organisation set up by ATF Gaia relies on some thirty ICPE-approved European sorting centres (ICPE = Registered Environmental Protection Facility). Whatever the number of branches or their location the company is assured of a rapid response to its request for an optimum logistics cost.
ATF Gaia’s European logistics organisation reduces costs, improves responsiveness and minimises carbon borrowing in collection operations.
Upon arrival in the nearest ICPE processing centre, equipment is:
- sorted according to its future use (sale or recycling) ,
- anonymised and cleaned of the client’s data,
- reconditioned and serial numbered if intended for resale.
“The recovery and, in particular, the re-use of electrical and electronic equipment which is no longer required is preferable to its destruction.
