Regulatory compliance
ATF Gaia understands all the stages involved in the re-use and recycling process for IT and
electronic equipment at the end of its life and the regulations governing them:
- From taking responsibility: the issuing of a transport declaration and a waste monitoring note by the transporter (Decree no. 98-670 of 30 July, 1998)
- Consolidation and sorting: these operations are carried out at a class D ICPE site (registered for environmental protection), subject to inspection by the authorities (Articles L512-8 to L512-13 of the Environment Code).
- Re-use: in this area, ATF Gaia goes beyond regulatory compliance by offering the company extended traceability on the subsequent life of its equipment (serial numbering of spare parts, link between the equipment serial number and the identity of the secondhand purchaser).
- Recycling: these operations are carried out in a traceable way by a body approved by the Ministry for the Environment and Sustainable Development.
Strategy and inventory
By providing consultancy before and after the actual processing operation, ATF Gaia solutions transform the obligation to recycle into a way of reducing the TCO for companies and into a way for manufacturers and importers to set themselves apart.
